LiFePO4 BATTERY

The 12V 50A LiFePO4 battery is very small and lightweight but packs more than 600Wh of power. It can be used as a replacement for traditional battery of 70-100A. With a weight of only 7kg, it is extremely portable and could be used to provide 12V power on travels where weight and size is a concern.

Lithium Phosphate batteries are 30-40% lighter and smaller than traditional lead acid batteries. It also has a greater life expectancy with 2000-4000 cycles compared to 600-1500 of traditional batteries. Nearly all, around 95%, of the total energy is usable in a LiFePO4 battery, compared to an average of 50% in traditional batteries.

To charge a LiFePO4 battery, you need a charger designed for LiFePO4. Sola Sola has a variety of capable chargers and solar controllers specific for LiFePO4 batteries.
